Music is our Business

Dear friend,

this year, we are again devoting ourselves to the topics of social responsibility and diversity for that we have secured top-level speakers like Douglas Rushkoff, named one of the “world’s ten most influential intellectuals” by MIT, Life Science’s investor Christian Angermayer, or author and activist Kübra Gümüşay. They will meet with several other amazing speakers at the Future Playground in the Festival Village IRL (in real life) and digitally to speak about topics like the Psychedelic Renaissance, the state of the world and media, or how language shapes our thinking and determines our politics.

Of course, there will be the Future Playground Experience with a dozen exciting exhibitors. You can find more information about the sessions and the exhibition in this newsletter. Enjoy reading through and then play with us on the Future Playground.

Team Human

Douglas Rushkoff studies human autonomy in a digital age. He explores how different technological environments change our relationship to narrative, money, power, and one another. A leading voice for applying digital media toward social and economic justice.

The Power of Language

Kübra Gümüşay follows a longing: for a language that does not reduce people to categories. In her first book she explores the question of how language shapes thinking and determines politics. How can we all communicate with each other in a different way?

Renaissance of Psychedelics

Mental illnesses are on the rise. There is a lot of scientific research around psychedelics happening, plus an industry growing around the topic. But what are they doing for our mental health and personal progress in the future?

Is everyone crazy - except us, of course?

Politics, society and the media are struggling to cope with a changed world. Paul Ronzheimer (deputy editor-in-chief of BILD) and Peter Unfried (chief reporter of the taz) jointly analyse the state of the world.

Mental health in Music

An above-average number of people in the industry suffer from anxiety, depression and stress symptoms. So it's time to take a closer look at the current situation, to understand it and to change it.
