Dear reader,

it is time to celebrate music and its industry. At Reeperbahn Festival we traditionally do this by honoring especially noteworthy newcomers and outstanding performances in different areas. This year, this happens to a forced degree differently than usual. Nevertheless, or maybe just because of that, I ask you to take a lively part in our four awards, join us online and celebrate the music and those who work with it!

International music journalism award

On Wednesday we will publish the winners of the International Music Journalism Award 2020 for the English, Danish, French and German language areas. You will stumble upon them regularly in the programme of our Rooftop Channel.

 
 

VIA – Vut indie awards

The VIA - VUT Independent Awards will be presented live from the Schmidtchen on Thursday evening. Prizes will be awarded in categories like Best Newcomer, Best Label or Best New Music Business.

 
 

Music moves europe talent awards

On Friday we will present - again live from the Schmidtchen - the 16 best European newcomer acts at the Music Moves Europe Talent Awards Nominees Night. With us: EU Commissioner Mariya Gabriel, Naaz and a great musical surprise guest.
 
 

ANCHOR 2020

The ANCHOR – Reeperbahn Festival International Music Award serves as a guide for fans and the music industry. At the show on early Saturday evening, the prominent Jury will present us the winner from a field of six fantastic Nominees.
