"Brexit – What's The Deal?"

Final Programme

04:00 pm:
Brexit Status Report

In this 15-minute overview Tom Kiehl (UK) delivers a very first evaluation on the impact and consequences of the recently agreed Brexit deal and its meaning for the music sector on both sides of the Euro Tunnel.

04:15 pm:
Tax & Toll: New Duties & Declarations for the Live & Recorded Sector

In this short session the tax advisers Dick Molenaar (NL) & Kevin Offer (UK) will explain what Brexit means for artists, fees and royalties regarding taxation and newly implemented cross border regulations.

04:45 pm:
Recorded Music: Conditions & Commitments

The consequences of Brexit for record and publishing companies are the focus of this discussion. Also of importance will be the changed conditions for creative work and respective projects and companies in post-Brexit Europe. Not to forget: the Brexit mindset in relation to A&R policies.

05:30 pm:
Live Music: Considerations & Concessions

The live music sector still suffers due to the Corona-pandemic, while Brexit is just another burden for the handling of talents and artists within the European live circuit. How will Brexit affect the circulation of artists on festivals, tours and concerts, and the business relations between UK agencies & EU promoters?

06:20 pm:
Q&A - What's the deal?

Are there any questions left? Our industry experts are available to you, also to discuss specific problems and questions. Feel free to ask your question in advance in the chat window of this session.
