Focus Session

Festival saison 2021

Here is the program for the Focus Session "Festival Saison 2021" on Tuesday, 13 April. Please note that the sessions will be held in German language.

Perspectives for festivals

What are the prospects for open-air festivals in Germany in summer 21 and beyond? Are the industry and politics on the right track to keep the festival scene in Germany as strong and colourful as we love it?

What's left of summer - festivals between hoping and planning

The hope for a festival summer is carried above all by the small and medium-sized festivals. Is the hope justified and how are the small big ones planning?

Sponsoring - what is still possible?

Sponsorship is one of the mainstays of any festival. Some brands have left the sector during the crisis. So to what extent does sponsorship still bear fruit this year and in the future?

Accidentally headliner

The Corona crisis, in which international touring is lying fallow, calls for particularly creative booking. This brings opportunities and risks at the same time.

Restart Festivals Germany?

What concepts are there for a Corona-compliant implementation of open airs and what support services does the market offer?

Meet the hosts

Isabel Roudsarabi & Steve Blame

Isabel loves spending her time at festivals, sometimes in production, sometimes to report something about these events later as editor-in-chief of the online platform Höme. Steve Blame was MTV News Editor and Presenter between 1987 and 1994. At MTV he interviewed all major pop stars from Madonna to McCartney. After leaving MTV he took up residence in Germany where he set up Viva 2.
