Music is our Business

Dear reader,

following the good news on the Reeperbahn Festival Conference to take place this year live and digitally, we can happily announce that also the Focus Sessions – hosted on our digital conference platform – will continue!

In our next Focus Session on 12th of August, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm CET, we will discuss “What the NFT?!  Will Cyberpunks revolutionize the music industry?“ If it seems like a bunch of musicians are suddenly interested in a thing you've never heard of, this is why we think they matter to the future of music. Here's what NFTs are — and what they could do for the music industry, artists and fans.

To participate in the Focus Session on 12th of August, just log in to our platform with your valid account or see below for ticket info.

So what else is new? Regarding our Conference and Festival in September, we proudly announce new speakers for our session programme, our Board for this year’s ANCHOR Award, as well as the return of our beloved Helga! Festival Award. Also we want to update you on possible participation as our US delegation being invited to this year’s edition and our new travel and accommodation offers for those planning to be live on site in Hamburg.

But for now: See you on the 12th!

Session „Parliament of Pop“

Three candidates from the music industry are running for a seat in the German Parliament, all for different parties: Joe Chialo (head of the Airforce1 label)  Jens Herrndorf (manager of Fettes Brot) and Daniel Schneider co-founder Deichbrand Festival). But what do they stand for, what are their chances and what can other party members like Katarina Barley (SPD Vice President EU Parliament) and Julia Frank (Wizard Promotion- Bündnis 90 - Die Grünen) already tell us in terms of pop culture?
