Reeperbahn Festival 2021 has begun! 

Reeperbahn Festival starts today in Hamburg. It is considered to be the biggest club festival and music industry convention in Europe.
Following last year's all-digital programme for trade visitors, this year's conference will once again be held on site. The main topics include overcoming the crisis created by the lockdown regulations and its effects on the event industry and its artists as well as gender equality in music.

Numerous prominent guests and speakers are also expected at today's opening, including Minister of State for Culture Prof. Monika Grütters, Sting, Joy Denalane, Maria Furtwängler, Maja Göpel, presenter Hadnet Tesfai and Mayor of Hamburg Dr. Peter Tschentscher.

At the end of the four-day festival, the ANCHOR — Reeperbahn Festival International Music Award for the best international newcomer will be presented on Saturday, September 25, The gala will be hosted by Tom Neuwirth (Conchita Wurst) and Hadnet Tesfai. This year, six participants will compete for the coveted trophy. President of the jury is music producer Tony Visconti, alongside jurors Tom Odell, Emelie Sandé, Yvonne Catterfeld, Tayla Parx and Jacob Banks.

The Reeperbahn Festival concert programme is also open to the public. This year, over 20,000 visitors are expected over four days.

The festival is sold out. Over one hundred programme items will be broadcast and streamed on ARTE, NDR and, including concerts, discussions and interviews.
