Dear Reader,

even though the Reeperbahn Festival Conference 2021 is not that long ago and we are still reminiscing by browsing through our digital platform, we are also excited about our new projects.

Let’s start with a new edition of our Focus Sessions, which will be about an increasingly important and yet still underrepresented and stigmatized topic: Mental Health in Music Business, taking place exclusively on our digital platform on November 11

Taking another look back: Check out our YouTube-Channel to rewatch the entire SDG & Music Summit of this year's conference as well as an interview with the new CEO of Deezer, Jeronimo Folgueira, handpicked concerts, award shows and interviews.

Assistance Conference Programme

The cultural sphere in general and the live music sector in particular have been hit hard in times of the pandemic. But even apart from the current Covid 19 situation, it is the working conditions, social and economic issues and other impacting causes that trigger mental health issues and unhealthy personal circumstances for those working in the area. From the artists to the small and big players behind the scenes, there are multiple perspectives and contexts that play a role here. Many reasons, then, to examine what it takes to deal with the issue of mental health more appropriately than has been the case to date. The focus session „Boosting Mental Health“ with Sonja Brüggemann (Senior Business Coach, GER), Keith Harris (Managing Director, Keith Harris Music Limited, GBR) and many more interesting speakers, highlights insights and expertise in favour of a serious common problem that deserves attention and awareness and takes place on November 11 on the digital conference plattform

An OnSite Interview with Deezer CEO Jeronimo Folgueira

Following his first public appearance at Reeperbahn Festival Conference 2021 the new CEO of Deezer, Jeronimo Folgueira, took some time to answer our questions about his life, his new leading position at Deezer and about what to hear from him at his Reeperbahn Festival Conference Session “A Date With New Deezer CEO Jeronimo Folgueira".

SDG & Music Summit Review

Once again we figured out what impact certain SDGs can have on the music industry and how the business can help to reach them. With speakers like Chiara Badiali (Knowledge and Sector Intelligence Lead, Julie's Bicycle, United Kingdom), Niklas Nienaß (Member of the European Parliament, The Greens/EFA, Germany), Horst Weidenmüller (Founder, Chair Sustainability Task Force, !K7, IMPALA, Germany) or Marina Ponti, (Director, United Nations SDG Action Campaign, Germany) we’re happy to have hosted the 3rd SDG & Music Summit in about four different sessions, which are now online to rewatch here on our YouTube channel.
